Jody is a consultant with over ten years’ experience leading, managing and applying social science research, specialising in human well-being. Jody joined nef in 2008 within the award-winning centre for well-being. She delivered a diverse range of consultancy for clients including the Department of Health, the Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government (IDeA) in the UK, the British Council, charitable trusts and one of the oldest housing providers in London, the Peabody Housing Trust.
In 2011 Jody became Senior Well-being Consultant at nef consulting, coordinating the launch of an online tool to facilitate conversations about well-being in workplaces. She designed and delivered consultancy for clients such as the NHS in the UK and integrated the concept of well-being into supply chain management for Timberland in the USA. More recently she has been advising NGOs and the corporate sector in the Philippines on the links between employee volunteering programmes, well-being and staff performance.
For light entertainment she is part-way through a PhD with the Participation, Power & Social Change Team at the Institute of Development Studies, exploring well-being patterns and pathways to social and environmental change. She also volunteers for VSO, lending her expertise in participatory and systemic action research to a five-country study seeking to understand and enhance the value of volunteering as an intervention for societal progress.
